SUMMARY:“Thy Will Be Done” Interactive Theater at Wilton Historical Society
DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Historical Society is thrilled to be partnering with Escapism Productions for an upcoming immersive historical theatre experience! \nIn a quiet 17th-century Connecticut village gripped by faith and fear\, the minister’s pregnant wife begins to show signs of a terrible affliction. Tongues whisper of witchcraft. Shadows gather. And as suspicion spreads like fire\, seven townsfolk stand at the center of it all\, each with secrets\, each with something to lose. \nOne among them is the witch. \nWill you uncover the truth before it’s too late? \nThis immersive production is performed at\, and in proud partnership with\, the Wilton Historical Society\, bringing the haunting world of early colonial New England to life where centuries-old shadows linger\, and the past refuses to stay buried. This experience allows guests to explore the Society’s historic Sloan-Raymond-Fitch House\, interacting directly with the characters to uncover secrets\, expose evidence\, and influence the ending. \nPerformance Dates and Times\nFriday\, October 3\, 7-8:30 PM\nSaturday\, October 4 8-9:30 PM\nSunday\, October 5 4-5:30 PM \n$50 – “Thy Will Be Done” Member Ticket\n$60 – “Thy Will Be Done” Non-Member Ticket \nTickets available here: https://wiltonhistorical.org/events/event/thy-will-be-done-interactive-theater-performance/

SUMMARY:Colonial Tavern Night at Wilton Historical Society
DESCRIPTION:COLONIAL TAVERN NIGHT RETURNS IN 2025! \nColonial Tavern Night returns to the Wilton Historical Society this October. Join us for an evening of great food\, drinks\, games\, and trivia! \nTaverns and inns were an integral part of 18th century Wilton\, serving as restaurants\, bars\, rest stops for weary travelers\, and community centers. These businesses were so vital that for a time\, Connecticut colonial law actually required several towns to have at least one tavern open. On October 4th\, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm\, the Wilton Historical Society will party like it’s 1779 by hosting its own one night only tavern at the museum! \nAttendees can participate in that evening’s history pub trivia contest! \nTicket includes open bar with food courtesy of Jeff’s BBQ. This event is for adults 21+. \nNon-Members $80 per person\, WHS Members $65 per person. \nTickets available here: https://wiltonhistorical.org/events/event/colonial-tavern-night-2025/ \nBe sure to bundle your tickets with the immersive theater experience Thy Will Be Done in partnership with Escapism Productions. \nClick here for more information: https://wiltonhistorical.org/events/event/thy-will-be-done-interactive-theater-performance/

SUMMARY:Victorian Tea Service
DESCRIPTION:Embrace the spring season and join the Wilton Historical Society for an afternoon filled with delicious teas\, delectable bites\, gorgeous flowers and memories created with loved ones! \nThe classic Afternoon Tea is a tradition born around 1840 when members of the British aristocracy felt the need for a delicate snack – accompanied by delicious tea – to fill the long gap between the lunch and dinner menus. Afternoon tea became a staple and symbol of both the Victorian period and the wealth of the British Empire. As the popularity of the service grew\, certain utensils\, menus\, and etiquette developed along with it. \nThe Wilton Historical Society is very excited to be able to present our very own Victorian Tea Service on May 11th\, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm. Guests will be seated in a beautifully decorated tent in the courtyard of the Society’s campus\, with all the classically magnificent details expected from a 19th century tea service. Delicious teas and bites catered by A Dash of Salt will be accompanied by a presentation on the History of Tea from an expert from Bigelow Tea. \nThis event is generously sponsored by Wildbloom Skincare and Bigelow Tea. \nFlowers and arrangement generously donated by Wild Roses and Blooms. \nTickets are $60 per person for Wilton Historical Society Members; $75 per person for Non-Members. Registration Required. Please visit www.wiltonhistorical.org or email info@wiltonhistorical.org to reserve your spot today! \nPlease Note: This is a seated event\, if you would like to be seated with another party\, please specify in the notes section below.

SUMMARY:Wilton Farmers' Market
DESCRIPTION:  \nOur market has been EXTENDED for 3 weeks until Nov. 18\, 2020! Please take note hours for the extended period will be from 12-4 PM at the Wilton Historical Society.  \nThe Wilton Farmers’ Market will kick off its 2020 season at the Wilton Historical Society on Wednesday\, June 3rd! Presented by Fairfield County Bank and hosted by the Wilton Historical Society\, the market will take place every Wednesday from 12:00-5:00 pm\, June 3rd through October 28th. \nThe market is comprised of local farmers and artisans who come together and provide shoppers a venue to purchase the finest locally sourced products. Featured are local Connecticut farmers offering seasonal and organic produce\, fresh baked goods and pastries\, food trucks with a selection of lunch items\, local artists and crafters featuring their original and one of a kind art pieces\, craft breweries for non-alcoholic beverages and premium imported Italian goods direct from Italy to name a few. \nWith the onset of COVID-19\, we will be implementing new guidelines for the 2020 season. Our goal is to provide a safe market environment while limiting potential exposure to consumers\, food\, volunteers\, vendors\, and market manager. Our operating guidelines are as follows: \n\nWe will limit the number of customers within the market at one time. Each vendor is allowed one shopper per space at a given time.\nThe recommended social distancing protocols of six (6) feet of separation between individuals will be applied by placing markers six (6) feet apart in front of vendors and around the market where necessary.\nFoot traffic will be one-way. A designated entrance for shoppers will be staffed to implement proper headcount within the market during hours of operation.\nAll shoppers MUST wear a cloth face covering at the market. We encourage families to limit the number of people coming to the market to the primary buyer only.\nPer Executive Order 7S\, all market managers\, staff/volunteers\, and vendors must wear gloves and face masks at all times if they’re interacting with customers and/or handling products.\nIf a customer brings a reusable bag\, vendors are not required to handle the bag or fill the bag.\nEach vendor will wipe down the EBT/credit card terminal with an approved disinfectant after each use.\nEach vendor will have their own hand sanitizing station available.\nEach vendor is responsible for intermittently wiping down and disinfecting their work area and high touch points on the shopper side of their tables.\nPicnic tables will be off limits to shoppers for dining purposes.\nWe HIGHLY recommend pre-ordering with vendors that are offering online orders. A designated “pick up only” table by the pedestrian entrance of the market will be available for quick accesses.\n\nHere are our seasonal and guest vendors participating: (list will be updated throughout the season) \n\nAmbler Farm\nAthletic Brewing Company – send preorders via email to beckyg@athleticbrewing.com by Monday afternoon\nBach to Rock Ridgefield\nBeldotti Bakery – send preorders via Saint Ex WEBSITE and select “Wilton Farmers’ Market” pick up location.
