DESCRIPTION:Get ready to ring in the season at the Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Stroll for a truly magical evening on Friday\, December 5th from 5-8pm! The Wilton Chamber\, in collaboration with event sponsor Kimco Realty and partners including the Town of Wilton\, the Wilton Fire Department\, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps\, Wilton Kiwanis Club\, and numerous local businesses\, warmly invites everyone to join the festivities starting at 5:00 pm. \nThe Fairfield County Brass Quintet will kick off the cheer\, filling the air with timeless holiday classics. Head to the Town Green\, where the Kiwanis Club of Wilton will host a cozy gathering with a marshmallow roast\, hot chocolate\, and a bonfire to keep you warm. \nFamilies can delight in crafts and treats from local businesses and non-profits\, with cookie decorating hosted by the Wilton Rotary Club. Be sure to keep an eye out for a special “ELF” spreading cheer throughout the green! \nThe merriment extends to the Wilton Library from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.\, where staff will be outside their front entrance handing out special gift bags with sweet treats\, while supplies last. Children can also visit the Children’s Library to make a special bookmark\, and all visitors are encouraged to browse for gifts and stocking stuffers at the Holiday Book Sale in the gallery. \nAt 5:45 pm\, the Christmas season officially begins with our tree lighting ceremony\, followed by the highly anticipated arrival of Santa\, chauffeured by the Wilton Fire Department’s Ladder Truck 5. Children can visit Santa at the gazebo starting at 6:00 pm to share their holiday wishes and receive a special treat. \nThe enchanting voices of the carolers from the Voice Studio will entertain visitors after Santa’s arrival. For the first time ever\, bring a chair or blanket and settle in for a special outdoor screening of the holiday classic\, “Polar Express” at the Town Green\, beginning at 6:30 pm. \nWe encourage the community to stroll through town\, visit\, shop\, and enjoy the generous hospitality of participating local retailers\, restaurants\, and businesses. With the fire ban lifted in the State\, we are thrilled to have this family activity back to keep our guests warm and cozy that night! Please visit them at the corner of River Road and the entrance to Schenck’s Island this Friday\, Dec. 6th from 5-8pm. \nGet in the holiday spirit  and make your way to the Town Green to be enchanted by the strolling carolers from the Voice Studio. Wilton Center will be transformed into an exciting\, action packed\, bargain filled\, entertaining and delicious destination for residents and regional visitors. \nThe summer festival is proudly presented by ASML\, LaurelRock\, Fairfield County Bank\, Stamford Health\, Caraluzzi’s Georgetown Market\, and with special participation from the Wilton Rotary Club to support  the numerous retailers\, restaurants\, businesses\, artisans and local organizations who pull out all the stops to showcase our community as a vibrant retail\, service and dining destination. \nIn addition to the shopping and dining opportunities featured during the day\, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce has lined up entertainment with music\, live performances\, and many new activities for the whole family and for our furry friends too! Attractions and activities will be centered around the gazebo highlighted by the “Touch-a-Truck” center sponsored by our community partner\, ASML and featuring vehicles from Wilton Fire Department’s Engine 5 Ladder Truck\, patrol car from the Wilton Police Department and service vehicle from the Wilton Ambulance Corps. \n \nThe Wilton Library will also be hosting their summer book sale in the heart of the fair\, and make sure to check out the various interactive activities throughout Old Ridgefield Road that will include face-painting\, inflatable games\,  magician\, balloon characters\, family friendly activities\, street performers\, kid’s crafts\, live animal encounters and exhibits\, sand art\, plus treats galore and much\, much more! Activities to keep the kids busy will include face painting\, sand art\, and crafts – all provided by our local organizations participating in the event. \nMake sure you stop by the corner of Schenck’s Island where the Rotary Club of Wilton will be providing a bonfire and  s’mores for roasting that afternoon. DESCRIPTION:The annual Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Stroll will be on Friday Dec. 1st! Together with our event sponsors\, Fairfield County Bank and Meadow Ridge and in partnership with the Town of Wilton\, Wilton Fire Department\, Wilton Volunteers Ambulance Corps.\, Wilton Kiwanis Club and several retailers and businesses in the Town Center\, all are invited to join the festivities beginning at 5:00 pm. \nGet in the holiday spirit as you warm up by a roaring bonfire and partake in the marshmallow roast and hot cocoa provided by the Wilton Kiwanis Club at Schenck’s Island. Make your way to the Town Green to be enchanted by the strolling carolers and dance performance from Wilton’s Conservatory of Dance. Families can enjoy crafts and treats provided by our local non-profit organizations\, and new this year\, Justin Baiad Photography will be creating a magical winter experience with digital photo packages at the Holiday Stroll. Get your portraits with Buddy the Elf as he joins in the fun! In the tradition of giving back for the holiday season\, all proceeds for the photo session will benefit Trackside Teen Center. \nIn addition to the festivities at the Town Green and Schenck’s Island\, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.\, Wilton Library staff will welcome visitors outside their front entrance handing out special gift bags with sweet treats\, while supplies last. Children can stop by the Children’s Library to make a special bookmark to take home with their books! They invite all visitors to shop for gifts and stocking stuffers at the Holiday Book Sale in the gallery. \nAt 5:45 pm we will officially kick off the Christmas season with our tree lighting ceremony followed by the much-anticipated arrival of Santa at the Town Green ushered in by the Wilton Fire Department’s Ladder Truck 5. Children of all ages will be able to visit Santa at the gazebo where they can share their holiday wishes and receive a special treat starting at 6:00 pm. \nCelebrate the magic of the holidays and join in the festivities with our retailers\, restaurants\, and local businesses and we encourage the community to stroll through town\, visit\, shop and enjoy the generous hospitality of participating local businesses that evening! Wilton Center will be transformed into an exciting\, action packed\, bargain filled\, entertaining and delicious destination for residents and regional visitors. \nThe summer festival is proudly presented by Kimco Realty\, ASML\, Meadow Ridge\, Fairfield County Bank\, The Greens at Cannondale and Wilton Meadows\, and with special participation from the Wilton Rotary Club to support  the numerous retailers\, restaurants\, businesses\, artisans and local organizations who pull out all the stops to showcase our community as a vibrant retail\, service and dining destination. \nIn addition to the shopping and dining opportunities featured during the day\, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce has lined up entertainment with music\, live performances\, and many new activities for the whole family and for our furry friends too! Attractions and activities will be centered around the gazebo highlighted by the “Touch-a-Truck” center sponsored by our community partner\, ASML and featuring vehicles from Wilton Fire Department’s Engine 5 Ladder Truck\, patrol car from the Wilton Police Department and service vehicle from the Wilton Ambulance Corps. The Wilton Library will also be hosting their summer book sale in the heart of the fair\, and make sure to check out the various interactive activities throughout Old Ridgefield Road that will include face-painting\, inflatable games\,  magician\, balloon characters\, family friendly activities\, street performers\, kid’s crafts\, live animal encounters and exhibits\, sand art\, plus treats galore and much\, much more! Visitors of all ages are invited to warm up inside where tweens and teens in grades 6 to 12 can stop by the Teen Department to learn how to make fun and easy decorative paper snowflakes\, while supplies last. Children in kindergarten to grade 5 can visit the Children’s Library to create a wintery craft project and pick up a winter bookmark. Then make sure to head over to Schenck’s Island for some marshmallow roasting sponsored by the Wilton Rotary Club (children must be accompanied by an adult). \nNew this year\, we have partnered with Wilton Go Green to work together to make our Winter Carnival a little more green! DESCRIPTION:Friday Dec. 3rd marks the return of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Stroll! Together with the Town of Wilton\, Wilton Fire Department\, Wilton Volunteers Ambulance Corps. (WVAC)\, Wilton Kiwanis Club and several retailers and businesses in the Town Center\, all are invited to join the holiday festivities beginning at 4:30 pm. \nGet in the holiday spirit as you warm up by a roaring bonfire and partake in the marshmallow roast and hot cocoa provided by the Wilton Kiwanis Club at Schenck’s Island. Make your way to the Town Green for the menorah lighting ceremony and latkes provided by Good Morning Wilton.  Then be enchanted by the strolling carolers and dance performance from Wilton’s Conservatory of Dance. Families can enjoy crafts and treats provided by our local non-profit organizations that evening at the Town Green and at 5:30 pm we will officially kick off the Christmas season with our tree lighting ceremony. \nIn addition to the festivities at the Town Green\, the Wilton Library will welcome visitors by their front entrance and provide special gift bags with sweet treats\, while supplies last. We invite you to purchase an “ornament” from their Giving Tree\, buy Hanukkah Gelt for the Children’s Library\, and shop for gifts at the Library’s Holiday Book Sale. Also\, don’t forget to admire the Bakers & Builders Gingerbread – Police Edition entries and cast your vote for the “Community Favorite” prize. \nFinally\, gather all the young ones as we keep the tradition going with Santa Claus arriving into town ushered by the Wilton Fire Department’s Ladder Truck 5. Children of all ages will be able to visit Santa at the gazebo where they can share their holiday wishes and receive a special treat from Santa starting at 5:45 pm. \nCelebrate the magic of the holidays and join in the festivities with our retailers\, restaurants\, and local businesses. SUMMARY:Wilton Winter Fest
DESCRIPTION:In past years\, the Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Winter Carnival in January but much like other events in 2020\, it was cancelled due to COVID. The event which was held the Sunday before the Superbowl featured winter themed carnival games\, animal rides for the kids\, magicians\, Disney character meet and greets\, food trucks\, beverage tastings\, vendor booths\, and an ice carving demo at the gazebo. It is a fun day for the whole family and a great way for residents to explore and experience Wilton Center. \nIn the absence of the carnival this year\, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce will be presenting a promotional event that will spotlight our local businesses.  Local establishments will be decorating their store fronts with a “Winter Fest” or “Wilton Warriors” theme of blue and white from Feb. 1st-13th. During this time\, whenever a shopper purchases a gift card from participating retailers or restaurants\, the Chamber of Commerce is offering a Chamber of Commerce gift certificate worth 20% of the value of the gift certificate purchased! \nHere are the guidelines: \n\nGift certificate from participating business must be purchased between Feb. 1-13\, 2021.\nProof of purchase with date must be submitted via email to info@wiltonchamber.com\nWilton Chamber of Commerce bonus gift certificate will be mailed to purchaser.\nBonus gift certificate will be valid between Feb. 14th – March 31st\, 2021.\n\nWe hope this bonus gift certificate incentive will create more revenue for our local businesses and encourage shopping and dining during the winter months. Please support the event and our businesses early as the total program match will be capped at $2000. \nProgram match update: Friday February 12\, 2021 – $1\,233 bonus gift certificates have been redeemed. \nOn Saturday Feb.13th\, ice sculptures will be dotted around the Gazebo and between 12:00-2:00 pm a socially distant meet and greet with our favorite snowman\, Olaf as we have done in the past to close out the Winterfest theme.
