SUMMARY:Wilton Winter Fest
DESCRIPTION:In past years\, the Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Winter Carnival in January but much like other events in 2020\, it was cancelled due to COVID. The event which was held the Sunday before the Superbowl featured winter themed carnival games\, animal rides for the kids\, magicians\, Disney character meet and greets\, food trucks\, beverage tastings\, vendor booths\, and an ice carving demo at the gazebo. It is a fun day for the whole family and a great way for residents to explore and experience Wilton Center. \nIn the absence of the carnival this year\, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce will be presenting a promotional event that will spotlight our local businesses.  Local establishments will be decorating their store fronts with a “Winter Fest” or “Wilton Warriors” theme of blue and white from Feb. 1st-13th. During this time\, whenever a shopper purchases a gift card from participating retailers or restaurants\, the Chamber of Commerce is offering a Chamber of Commerce gift certificate worth 20% of the value of the gift certificate purchased! \nHere are the guidelines: \n\nGift certificate from participating business must be purchased between Feb. 1-13\, 2021.\nProof of purchase with date must be submitted via email to info@wiltonchamber.com\nWilton Chamber of Commerce bonus gift certificate will be mailed to purchaser.\nBonus gift certificate will be valid between Feb. 14th – March 31st\, 2021.\n\nWe hope this bonus gift certificate incentive will create more revenue for our local businesses and encourage shopping and dining during the winter months. Please support the event and our businesses early as the total program match will be capped at $2000. \nProgram match update: Friday February 12\, 2021 – $1\,233 bonus gift certificates have been redeemed. \nOn Saturday Feb.13th\, ice sculptures will be dotted around the Gazebo and between 12:00-2:00 pm a socially distant meet and greet with our favorite snowman\, Olaf as we have done in the past to close out the Winterfest theme. Also on that day\, retailers will be participating in a town-wide store front sidewalk sale for the best steals and deals of the season! SUMMARY:Shop Wilton Winners!
DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the winners of our SHOP WILTON  promotion! Thank you to all who participated in our initiative to shop local in November and we encourage everyone to continue to shop\, dine  and support all our Wilton retailers throughout the year! \nSmall business is the backbone of our local economy and it is up to all of us to support the businesses that make Wilton great! Please remember that with every purchase you make\, it keeps their doors open and keeps their employees working (who are our neighbors\, family and friends). It’s up to us to support them and they in return will be able to support our community! \nOf the 18\,000 + people who live in Wilton if only 4000 residents (less than 25%) spent $10 more a month on shopping local\, they increase local sales by $480\,000. According to recent statistics $.67 of every dollar goes back into the community.  That’s over $321\,000 back into the community through aiding local fundraisers\, sports teams\, schools\, employing residents\, etc. \nEven during this very difficult time for our small businesses\, they still generously sponsored prizes for our event! It truly shows the giving nature of our small business owners for their community! The Wilton Chamber of Commerce has also contributed (2) two $50 gift certificates for the winners of our interactive scavenger hunt. These gift certificates are redeemable at many Chamber member businesses (see list HERE) and make great holiday gifts! \n100% of the gift certificate amount goes directly to the local retailer and keeps the funds within our town’s small businesses. Each vendor is allowed one shopper per space at a given time.\nThe recommended social distancing protocols of six (6) feet of separation between individuals will be applied by placing markers six (6) feet apart in front of vendors and around the market where necessary.\nFoot traffic will be one-way. A designated entrance for shoppers will be staffed to implement proper headcount within the market during hours of operation.\nAll shoppers MUST wear a cloth face covering at the market. We encourage families to limit the number of people coming to the market to the primary buyer only.\nPer Executive Order 7S\, all market managers\, staff/volunteers\, and vendors must wear gloves and face masks at all times if they’re interacting with customers and/or handling products.\nIf a customer brings a reusable bag\, vendors are not required to handle the bag or fill the bag.\nEach vendor will wipe down the EBT/credit card terminal with an approved disinfectant after each use.\nEach vendor will have their own hand sanitizing station available.\nEach vendor is responsible for intermittently wiping down and disinfecting their work area and high touch points on the shopper side of their tables.\nPicnic tables will be off limits to shoppers for dining purposes.\nWe HIGHLY recommend pre-ordering with vendors that are offering online orders. A designated “pick up only” table by the pedestrian entrance of the market will be available for quick accesses.\n\nHere are our seasonal and guest vendors participating: (list will be updated throughout the season) \n\nAmbler Farm\nAthletic Brewing Company – send preorders via email to beckyg@athleticbrewing.com by Monday afternoon\nBach to Rock Ridgefield\nBeldotti Bakery – send preorders via Saint Ex WEBSITE and select “Wilton Farmers’ Market” pick up location.
